TIA extends operation time by 2 hours from 1st Feb 2025

The Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) has extended the operating hours of Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) by two hours starting from February 1st, 2025.

The new operating hours are from 7 am to 11 pm, allowing for increased flight operations and enhancing passenger convenience within the airport premises.

The extension includes an additional hour in the morning (7 am to 8 am) to facilitate more domestic and mountain flights, and an extra hour at night (10 pm to 11 pm) to facilitate international flights.

Two-hour extension of operation period will increase the number of flights operating at the airport by around 15 percent.

Thus, Everest mountain flight from Kathmandu now operates at 7 am daily.
